Bunkers flank both sides of this fairway and splitting these is a must if birdie is a possibility. A small bail out is available short, left of this green as the bunker short of the putting green should be avoided at all costs. A shelf running front to back divides this putting green into two sections. Three putts are likely if you are not on the same level as the pin.

A gem of a shorter Par 4, the 11th at Bayville is seen by most players as a scoring opportunity. The fairway slopes right to left and water comes into play with any shots left of center. Hitting the green in two will allow for a great birdie opportunity. Any hole location on the left side of the green is a “sucker pin” and should be attacked with caution.

One of the best Par 4's on the course, #12 is a phenomenal golf hole. A south wind will drastically lengthen this hole and create a very challenging approach shot. The fairway slopes toward the water on the left side and the putting surface is very close to the waters edge. Any approach shot that is not solidly struck will likely flirt with the water short of the green.

A straightforward Par 3 that is lined all down the left side with beautiful azaleas and pine trees. In the springtime, this hole is quite majestic! The green has a bunker front right and another one left of center. The putting surface has three shelves and features a large mound in the center of the green that will effect most putts and challenge even those that are great with the flatstick.  

The longer the tee shot the better and avoiding fairway bunkers on either side will allow for a birdie opportunity. The approach shot on this medium length Par 4 is defended by a front left bunker and a green that features a shelf running from front center toward the back right portion of the green. Short grass is available to run the ball up and onto the green when coming from the right side.

This Par 5 can be a scoring opportunity with an accurate tee ball followed by a well-placed second shot. This hole can be reached in two by longer hitters but the penalty area to the right and behind the green will cause players to second guess there club selection. This hole is often described as a “Bird Sanctuary” for a few different reasons. The putting green has several undulations that can lead to difficult lag putts and possible three putts if you are not accurate with the first attempt.

The Lynnhaven Inlet makes it’s second appearance on this magnificent Par 3. If you’re fortunate enough to hit this green with your tee shot, your work is only beginning as this massive putting complex features several slopes. There is plenty of short grass on both sides of the green that will allow putting from the fringe as an option. Don’t forget to take a glance at the Osprey nest just behind this green. Enjoy the view!

Another monster of a Par 4! The 17th at Bayville usually plays quite long and challenging. Avoiding the fairway bunkers and hitting the tee ball in the fairway with your tee shot is a must to have any chance of hitting this green in regulation. There is a large crown in the center of the green that will direct your ball toward either side of the green and create some very challenging putts. Bald eagles are often seen in the tall pines near the back of the 17th tee box.
