Bayville's 16-acre state-of-the-art practice facility is a golf perfectionist's dream and a "game in itself." The additional acreage available at the time of construction allowed for an extensive practice area for members' short game perfection, including a multi-tiered tee box area for maximum wear rotation, two practice putting greens, two chipping greens and several practice bunkers. In 2005, as part of the ongoing commitment to improve playing conditions at Bayville, the practice facility was renovated to include some impressive enhancements:
Creation of a short game practice area at the South End of the practice facility to offer a tremendous variety of practice options, including a second chipping green, rebuilt practice bunkers and new short-range target greens.
Remodeled target greens at the North End to more closely replicate the contours found on the golf course and also allow more efficient ball retrieval and turf maintenance.
Creation of "sculpted fairways" on the practice facility for more focused targeting of long irons and woods for those all important approach shots to the green.
In summary, the development of the golf course from conception through maturity will be an ever-increasing progression of quality. It is the firm commitment of the Board of Directors to provide the highest standards for its dynamic membership base of prominent business and community leaders, unsurpassed and beyond other private clubs in the area and across the country.
